Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans and support their growth and development. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals.
Duties
- Conduct patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop appropriate behavior plans.
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect and analyze data on patient progress to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
- Provide behavioral therapy in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
- Collaborate with special education staff and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment for children.
- Maintain clear communication with families regarding their child’s progress and any necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Support individuals in developing daily living skills and social interactions.
Experience
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and behavioral therapy practices.
- Familiarity with special education environments is preferred.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis related to behavioral interventions.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding while working with diverse populations.
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant educational background is advantageous.
