Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist Position
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist to join our esteemed cardiology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including angioplasties, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment to capture high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any questions or concerns to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and responses during procedures, intervening as necessary to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols throughout all procedures.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records, including procedural details, imaging results, and patient responses.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- California state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac Cath lab or interventional radiology setting.
- Proficiency in operating cardiac catheterization equipment and related software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
