Job Responsibilities :
- Prepare the Operating Room : Set up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist with Patient Prep : Position and drape patients safely.
- Support Surgeons : Pass instruments, hold retractors, and maintain a clear view of the surgical field.
- Ensure Sterility : Maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure.
- Handle Instruments : Organize and manage surgical tools, including counting instruments and sponges.
- Assist with Anesthesia : Prepare and handle medications and equipment as needed.
- Manage Specimens : Handle and label specimens for pathology.
- Clean Up : Disinfect the operating room and instruments post-procedure.
- Document : Record procedure details, including instrument counts.
- Maintain Equipment : Check and report on the condition of surgical equipment.
- Collaborate with Team : Work with surgeons, nurses, and other professionals.
- Follow Protocols : Adhere to infection control and hospital policies.
- Assist Postoperatively : Help transfer patients to recovery and support postoperative care.
- Continuous Learning : Stay updated on surgical techniques and best practices.
