MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a committed full-time Intermediate Care Unit Specialist to join a dedicated team at a well-established acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!

Salary Range: $84,830 - $102,982 per year

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Monitoring: Continuously observe and track patients' vital signs and overall health to ensure stability, responding swiftly to any changes in condition.
• Clinical Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions and progress, documenting findings and updating the healthcare team.
• Work Schedule: Night shifts with flexible hours.
• Medication and Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions with accuracy, ensuring compliance with medical guidelines.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient.
• Emergency Care: Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing necessary care and performing life-saving procedures when needed.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) License
• CPR-BCLS Certification (must be completed before orientation concludes)
• ACLS Certification (must be completed before orientation concludes)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (must be completed before orientation concludes)
• Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry
• Ability to operate therapeutic medical equipment
• Professional demeanor and appearance at all times
• Comprehensive understanding of the nursing process and the ability to deliver care in accordance with established standards
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
