Medical Technologist - Fulltime

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field.
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by ASCP or equivalent.
Michigan state licensure (or eligibility to obtain it).
Prior experience in a clinical lab is a plus but not required.
Strong understanding of lab procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be open to working night shifts.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct lab tests on blood, urine, tissue, and other samples across various disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and immunology.
Analyze and interpret results to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab instruments to ensure accuracy.
Follow strict protocols for specimen handling, labeling, and storage.
Maintain lab safety and infection control standards.
Record and report test results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Train and support new team members and students.
Stay current with advancements in laboratory technology.
Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure top-quality patient care.
Participate in quality assurance programs to maintain accreditation.
