Completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine program with an associated certificate or degree.
One (1) year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
IEMA License in Nuclear Medicine.
ARRT(NM) or NMTCB registry required
Maintains Basic Life support certification.

MLR is looking for a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a growing hospital in Illinois. In this role, you will perform nuclear medicine procedures under the supervision of a radiologist, with the autonomy to manage technical details independently. The position requires adherence to ALARA principles and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities :
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners to obtain images.
Position patients correctly and ensure patient comfort during procedures.
Follow protocols to obtain high-quality images and maintain patient records.
Monitor patients during imaging procedures and address any adverse reactions.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results.
Maintain compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection measures.
Perform quality control tests on equipment and maintain inventory of radiopharmaceuticals.
