Position : Student Advisor / Choice Navigator
Location : Oakland Park Campus
Student Population : At-Risk Youth
Salary : $38,500, Non-Remote
Student Ratio : 1 : 100
Education : Associates Degree Preferred
Bilingual Preference : Creole Role Summary : We are seeking a dedicated Student Advisor / Choice Navigator to play a crucial role in cultivating academic success for students and their families. The ideal candidate will provide programmatic and enrollment guidance, assist with course registration, and support at-risk students while ensuring the maintenance of accurate student records and services.
Student Advisor / Choice Navigator Responsibilities Before Shift Begins
- Collaborate with the campus Dean daily to review the day's priorities and policies.
- Prepare for meetings with prospective parents and students regarding programs.
During Shift
Conduct the student intake process efficiently to complete enrollment procedures.Manage and maintain potential student folders, ensuring all documentation is present.Monitor the status of student scholarships with parents until approval is secured.Enter and update all student and parent information in the CRM / Quick Schools system.Support parents in applying for scholarships and guide them through the process.Submit approved scholarships to the billing department for processing.Renew scholarship applications with parents as required.Conduct initial credit breakdowns for students to aid in course selection.Finalize student files post-graduation and archive them according to protocol.Regularly update the Scholarship Excel spreadsheet with accurate information.Process financial documents (money orders, cashier checks, etc.) by stamping and scanning.Identify students with I.E.P and refer them to the vocational rehab department.Organize and conduct regular meetings with students to discuss academic progress and challenges.After Shift Ends
Ensure all student files and records are updated and stored appropriately.Review and prepare for the following day's responsibilities.Additional Duties
Maintain flexibility in roles and responsibilities to support students effectively.Communicate changes in duties with at least a week's notice for preparation.Desired Candidate :
