ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist

Job Summary:
MLR is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the evaluation of patient conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques, as well as excellent patient care and communication skills.
Responsibilities for an Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess images and assist in diagnosis.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide reassurance throughout the imaging process.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans.
- Keep detailed records of ultrasound examinations, including patient history and technical data.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and sonography practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience or certification in sonography or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic imaging techniques.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a medical setting.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring high-quality imaging results.
