What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technician position at MLR?
Day Shift, Monday to Friday (No calls, weekends, or holidays)
MLR are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing non-invasive diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound exams on patients.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic cardiovascular and peripheral vascular ultrasound exams.
Operate ultrasound equipment to capture accurate images of the heart and blood vessels.
Ensure patient comfort and safety during ultrasound procedures.
Assist with patient education and provide information regarding the procedure.
Review images and prepare reports for physicians.
Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation of procedures.
Qualifications:
Must be registered by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as a RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer), or by CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) as a RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist).
BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
ACLS certification preferred within 6 months of employment.
Experience in cardiovascular and/or peripheral vascular disease preferred.
Strong basic computer knowledge.
Must be proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, stay organized, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
Ability to work independently and show flexibility in a dynamic environment.
