Position Summary:
MLR is seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Director to lead our dynamic team in providing outstanding patient care within the Emergency Department (ED). This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with nursing care standards and regulatory requirements, while prioritizing patient safety and well-being. As the Director, you will oversee patient care in the ER, ensure adherence to emergency care protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold institutional policies. You will also coordinate and assess patient care, manage staff education and competency, and maintain clear communication with staff, providers, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee patient triage and flow, directing emergency care services in collaboration with providers and leadership.
Manage staff scheduling, time and attendance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Foster a culture of safety, quality improvement, and teamwork within the department.
Work closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and collaborate with various hospital departments to ensure efficient patient care operations.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required).
At least 3 years of experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (required).
Management experience (preferred).
Licenses & Certifications:
Montana RN Licensure (required).
BLS (required).
ACLS (required).
PALS (required).
TNCC (required).
ENPC (required).
Certified Emergency Nurse (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to care for patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
Excellent problem-solving and independent thinking skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to manage a high-volume workload while overseeing multiple initiatives and projects.
