Overview
Major League Soccer (MLS) seeks innovative, talented, and passionate students to contribute to the growth of Soccer in North America.
The Brand Alliances department leads the commercial business for Major League Soccer and Soccer United Marketing. This department is responsible for generating business development opportunities tied to brand partnerships across our core properties: Major League Soccer, Leagues Cup, The Mexican National Team, and CONCACAF. The Brand Alliances Intern will be an integral part of the partnership sales team, assisting in the identification and development of partnership opportunities. This intern will gain valuable experience working with team members, researching market trends, and supporting the sales cycle from prospecting to deal close. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in business management, sales, and marketing.
Located at the League Office Headquarters in New York City, the Summer Intern Program is a 10-week program that runs from June 3rd-August 5th. Interns will be a part of an inclusive culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration, values diversity and promotes creativity.
Responsibilities
- Research potential clients and partners across various industries and sectors.
- Assist the sales team in crafting tailored sponsorship proposals and packages.
- Assist in communicating with potential partners, responding to inquiries, and providing them with information on sponsorship opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and potential sponsor interests to create compelling sponsorship offers.
- Assist in creating sponsorship proposals, including pricing, benefits, and promotional packages.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate rising senior
- Recent college graduate
- Currently enrolled in a post-graduate program
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
- High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Must commit to attend full 10-week program
- Bilingual in Spanish or French a plus
TOTAL REWARDS
Major League Soccer offers an hourly salary of $20 based on a 40-hour work week.
