In support of Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault, we are seeking a Vehicle Communications System Operator Instructor with experience in supporting the New Equipment Training (NET) efforts for the Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) and Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV).
Job Duties:
The Vehicle Communications System Operator Instructor shall have knowledge, skills, and attributes to implement and evaluate instruction on the operation and maintenance of vehicular radio sets, analyzing tools and specialized computer hardware/software programs to employ voice and digital communication transmissions for command and control at the Transmissions Systems Operator level, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Review and provide recommended changes to course curricula, lesson plans, student guides, and audio-visual aids in support of lesson material and examinations and is responsible for the upkeep of their assigned periods of instruction.
- Deliver instruction on incident events identified for the ACV FoV, and the associated training systems.
- During instruction, they shall describe, and conduct actions related to the operation and maintenance of the ACV to include, but not limited to PMCS, inspection, repair, and tasks as stipulated in technical references for the ACV FoV communication suites and associated systems affiliated with the delivery ACV FoV instruction.
- The instructor shall interface with NETT staff in a custodial role on all matters pertaining to CCI’s, inventory control, readiness, and mission availability.
- Instructor will fill cryptographic keys in electronic encryption devices, submit frequency requests for training events, and load correct frequencies for secure communications.
General Responsibilities Include:
The instructor will provide day-to-day assistance as custodian for the provisioning of symmetric and asymmetric
key products to support C4 and C2 systems support including:
• Providing information regarding new or revised COMSEC policies and procedures and
their impact on the NETT.
• Monitoring and maintaining NETT COMSEC material allowances.
• Assist with training NETT staff in Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) procedures and
best practices.
• Maintain the integrity of the COMSEC program and its subordinate accounts.
• Inventory control, technical data management, and exercise material control and custody
management for communications equipment loaned to the NETT.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
- Must have at a minimum, six years' experience.
Specific/Preferred Requirements
- Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
