This position is for a 1st Shift (hours may vary) Sheeting Material Handler at our facility in Charlotte, NC.
Your Role
Ensure that each sheeter has the correct rolls prepared prior to sheeting, by looking at the production schedule and communicating with the sheeter operators.
Able to train and be certified to operate the following PIV’s:
Electric Pallet Jack
Sit-down Forklift
Roll Clamp Forklift
Able to train and operate sheeters as machine monitor to relieve sheeter operators for lunch and breaks
Follow PFD instructions to fulfill daily production requirements
Help assist the sheeter operators meet or exceed quality, production and waste goals
Adhere to all plant safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
Keep work area clean throughout shift
All other duties as assigned by management
Your Profile
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Work experience in a folding carton manufacturing plant preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Able to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
Basic math skills
Self-driven; Able to work independently
Ability to prioritize tasks
Detail oriented
Problem solving skills
Physical Requirements:
Position regularly requires lifting up to 45 lbs
Position requires manual dexterity to reach/handle items, work with fingers
Ability to bend, reach, and pull on and around equipment and the facility
Ability to work in tight spaces
Position requires working on your feet, getting on and off a forklift, driving a forklift (except for breaks / lunch)
