Tech Defenders is looking for an Account Manager, The Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing sales and business within a specified territory or account segment. They will establish relationships with K12 schools and partner organizations (OEMs / Reseller) . An Account Manager will implement sales strategies and business development skills to locate, qualify, and close new businesses, as well as develop relationships with clients to grow year-over-year opportunities.
Utilizing excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills to work independently and collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations and successful client experiences. They will be responsible for maintaining system records, forecasting tools, and client records and ensuring accurate reports for internal and external purposes.
The Account Manager will :

Establish and maintain a strong relationship with partner organizations to support indirect / direct opportunities with end clients. These could include OEMs, VARs, etc..
Follow up with open leads, opportunities, and proposals to close new procurement sales.
Research possible client opportunities within a listed territory, including a prospect’s inventory details and contact information, and develop a strategy to engage for an opportunity to win new business.
Attend conferences to market the company, develop connections with clients and partners, and increase knowledge of industry trends.
Meetings with other departments and cross-functional teams to provide for efficient and profitable business operations and a great client experience.
Monitor post-sale client orders through the system and processes to ensure a great client experience, address issues / concerns early, and cooperate with other departments, typically operations, to address any issues or questions with client devices.
Implement high activity level sales strategies that include email, phone, in-person, and sequences within the CRM to increase pipeline opportunities and wins.
Meet with clients and prospects to establish relationships, inspect equipment, and close new business.
Work with marketing to support efforts to increase brand awareness, inbound proposal requests and exposure.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date system records.
Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the market
Assist in Forecasting of devices procured
Manage Sales Pipeline
Responsibility to reach annual and quarterly unit target quotas
Regular travel to territory for sales calls and client visits
Supervisory Responsibilities :
No supervisory responsibilities.
Education & Experience :
Associates Degree in Business or equivalent preferred
This position must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License
2 Years Experience working with the K-12 / Education Industry preferred
3 Years Experience working in the Business to Business or K-12 sales industry
2 Years of Customer Relationship Management experience
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace, CRM, Databases, General Internet research
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong skills in analyzing data and market trends to identify opportunities
Environmental Conditions :
Normal office environment : No exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise or chemicals or hazardous equipment. 10% - 30% travel required.
