Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our IT team. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux infrastructure, focusing on Proxmox cluster management, system automation, and ensuring system stability through regular updates and timely troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, scripting, and automation tools such as Ansible.
Key Responsibilities:- Proxmox Cluster Management: Manage, monitor, and maintain our Proxmox virtualization clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Linux OS Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems (Ubuntu, Red Hat) for optimal performance and reliability.
- System Updates & Maintenance: Regularly perform software and OS updates, ensuring compliance with security best practices and system stability.
- Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible and shell scripting for configuration management and task automation.
- On-Call Support: Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical system issues and scheduled night maintenance.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed system documentation, including configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Backup & Recovery: Implement and maintain backup solutions to ensure system recovery in the event of failure.
- Security: Ensure that security protocols are followed, including patch management and access control.
- Experience: 5 years of Linux administration experience (Ubuntu or Red Hat).
- Proxmox: Proven experience managing and maintaining Proxmox clusters.
- Automation: Strong experience with Ansible automation and shell scripting.
- Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus is a plus.
- On-Call: Willingness to provide on-call support and perform night maintenance as needed.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Linux are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
