MMD is a premier cannabis retail and management brand with 4 locations and growing. Our Marina Del Rey location is actively hiring one amazing shift lead to support our growing staff. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable. Applicants must have, at least, 2 years of management/supervisor experience and full availability to be considered for the position. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth both within our shops and at our corporate office.
Position Overview:
Responsible for assisting the store management team with store operations and daily task execution by our retail team, interacting with customers to problem solve issues and ensure an outstanding experience, cash handling, and assisting in sales.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Execute floor leadership: own the sales floor.
• Coach and develop employees in assessing customer needs.
• Ensure all employees are properly trained according to company policies and procedures.
• Deploy staff, coordinate breaks, count down cash drawers
• Stocking shelves, setting up displays, ringing up merchandise.
• Assist with inventory counts as needed.
• Maintain merchandise and visual plan according to company policies.
• Communicate to management any situations that puts our customers or employees at risk physically or emotionally.
General Responsibilities:
• Show up to work on time in appropriate attire and compliant with appearance policies.
• Greet all customers, in a professional, friendly manner.
• Ensure the store is well maintained, stocked, and clean at all times.
• Treat co-workers with respect and look for opportunities to help others without being asked.
• Possess adequate product knowledge to assist customers in making purchasing decisions.
• Ensure that Health, Safety, Operations, and security policies are being followed.
• Motivate employees, keeping them focused on the company’s mission.
• Ensure customers are satisfied with the level of service and product quality received.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures to keep the employees, inventory, cash, and store safe and secure.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Must be able to move and/or lift up to 20 pounds
Shifts and compensation: This is a full-time position with expectations of night and weekend availability. Compensation starts at $24/hr
