Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team. As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel, ensuring that both our guest rooms and public spaces meet the highest standards. Your attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and ability to handle administrative tasks will contribute to creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise and train housekeeping staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure they meet our cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment needed for housekeeping operations.
- Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of housekeeping staff.
Administrative tasks:
- Complete weekly administrative tasks, including scheduling staff based on hotel needs.
- Track and manage payroll.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and prepare orders for supply purchases.
- Use app-based programs to track performance metrics and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide ongoing coaching to staff to improve guest satisfaction and employee retention.
- Hands-on involvement: Be ready to jump in and assist with room cleaning and other operational tasks when needed.
Experience & Skills
- Housekeeping Experience – Prior experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel, resort, or large facility.
- Supervisory Skills – Experience leading a team, assigning tasks, and ensuring quality standards.
- Attention to Detail – Ensures cleanliness and presentation meet high standards.
- Time Management – Can prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Problem-Solving – Able to handle challenges like staffing issues, guest complaints, or supply shortages.
- Communication Skills – Can clearly instruct staff, report to management, and interact professionally with guests.

- Must be comfortable with app-based programs for tracking performance, gaining insights, and making data-driven improvements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar role is required.
- Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with custodial procedures is a plus.
- Experience with Quore is a plus.
- Must be comfortable with app-based programs for tracking performance, gaining insights, and making data-driven improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
