Analyzer Technician

MMR Constructors, Inc. is accepting resumes for an Analyzer Technician for long term project in Baton Rouge, LA. Work will be performed in a lab.

Candidates must have previous experience in a maintenance role, previously worked as an Analyzer Technician and have documented experience working on and maintaining Gas Chromatographs.

Job Duration: Long Term (Maintenance)

Job Schedule: 5/8's (40 hours/week)

Duties and responsibilities of Analyzer Technician (including but not limited to):

• Install, maintain, and repair analytical equipment both in the lab and process field. Analytical equipment includes electronics, controllers, sample system, and final control elements such as control valves. Types of analyzers include but not limited to gas chromatograms, IR, O2, CEMS, etc.
• Install new equipment and assist engineer with setting up loop files including specifications, loop drawings, spare parts list, operating and maintenance manuals, and pre startup checklist.
• Perform daily inspections of projects contracted out and assist loop check and startup.
• Perform daily calibration and visual inspection of analyzers per inspection schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair analyzer and sample systems as required.
• Contact manufacturer for technical assistance.
• Obtain pricing and availability of parts needed for repair.
• Document test and repair data.
• Coordinate all work with operations to obtain work permits and proper PPE.
• Follow SOP for bypassing interlocks

Required Experience of Analyzer Technician:

• Must have previous experience working in a maintenance role
• Must have prior experience as an Analyzer Technician
• Must have documented experience working on and maintaining Gas Chromatographs
