Job Description:
MMR is seeking a full-time, on-site position for Field Engineer candidates on a data center project in Plain City, Ohio. This position is full time at 5 days per week at 10 hours per day, with overtime and weekend work based on site needs. This position is paid hourly with weekly per diem if residency requirements met. Pay is based on experience and qualifications.
The responsibilities for this job role would include, but not limited to, the following:
- Generating field estimates, change orders, billings, material procurement, etc.
- Build and review work packages, submittals, RFI’s and observations
- Conduct quantity surveying and tracking
- Assist with timekeeping, as needed
- Assist with document control, as needed
- Prepare and maintain weekly progress reports
- Assist with resolving field issues
- Coordinate with subcontractor activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, preferred. Otherwise, associate’s degree with prior field engineer experience, completion of trade school with prior field engineer experience, or journeyman electrician classification with prior field engineer experience.
- Must have previous work experience in construction field; electrical and data center experience, preferred
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgment with minimum supervision
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls
- Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Regular and reliable attendance at work
