Job Description:
MMR is seeking Fleet Safety Coordinator candidates looking to work full time out of our home office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, the following:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum of four to five years related experience and/or training; or associate's degree (A. A.) in Occupational Safety & Health from an accredited university preferred but not required. Must have minimum five years related experience. OSHA 500 Train-The-Trainer certification or equivalent.
Certifications and/or Licenses:
Employee must possess proper forms of identification such as valid Driver’s License or State identification and a Social Security Card. State and/or local license/certifications may be required.Certification which may be a plus: OSHA Fleet Safety Certification, National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST).

Job Description:
MMR is seeking Fleet Safety Coordinator candidates looking to work full time out of our home office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Report to the Vice President, HSE and or the HSE Director, works in conjunction with the Divisional and Project Managers
- Develop, revise, and implement fleet safety training programs as needed and/or required
- Develop, revise, and implement MMR’s Motor Vehicle Operations Policy and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Policy
- Direct fleet safety training throughout the company
- Maintain driver CMV/CDL compliance records
- Ensure that affected drivers adhere to the Department of Transportation regulations at the state and federal level
- Request Motor Vehicle Records (MVR’s) and review past driving performance of prospective drivers
- Provide fleet safety support to all jobsites:
- Performing field inspections on vehicles
- Performing on-site re-training as required
- Performing follow-ups to ensure the training was understood by our employees
- Review each preventable vehicle accident and unsafe driving report (GPS Notifications and calls) with the employee and his supervisor to emphasize management's intolerance of irresponsibility behind the wheel
- Personally investigate all accidents and take all steps necessary to prevent a recurrence
- Stay current on regulatory and industry requirements related to Fleet and Motor Carrier safety
- Attend safety training as directed
- Commitment to the company goal of achieving a zero-injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
- Employee must be able to travel to and from the jobsite via personal vehicle or other public form of transportation
