We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, activities, and medication administration.
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and enhancing their independence.
- Monitor and document vital signs as required, ensuring adherence to health protocols.
- Advocate for clients rights and ensure a safe, respectful environment.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in senior care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Lift and assist residents as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transfers.
Experience
- Familiarity with client rights and advocacy principles is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic medical procedures is beneficial.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and care documentation is essential.
- A compassionate approach to senior care and a commitment to promoting the well-being of residents is required.
