Our Employee Relations Specialist will support our HR Business Partner with managing and enhancing relationships between employees and the organization. This role supports a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, ensuring compliance with company policies, and managing conflict resolution processes.
MMS Group is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist for our corporate office in Suffern, NY.
Key Responsibilities:

Conflict Resolution: Manage employee conflicts by conducting investigations, facilitating resolutions, and providing guidance to both employees and management to foster a positive work environment.

Policy Interpretation: Provide employees and management with guidance on company policies, ensuring fair and consistent application across the organization.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, by staying informed of current labor laws and best practices.

Employee Inquiries: Address employee concerns and inquiries regarding workplace issues, policies, and benefits, serving as a resource for HR-related questions.

Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, including those related to harassment, discrimination, and workplace misconduct, and recommend appropriate actions.

Performance Management Support: Support managers in handling performance-related issues by providing guidance on documentation, coaching, and disciplinary actions.

Employee Engagement: Assist in developing and implementing programs to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases, including investigations, actions taken, and follow-ups.

Training and Development: Deliver or coordinate training sessions on employee relations topics such as conflict resolution, harassment prevention, and company policies.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations

Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism

Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with HR software and case management system

Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) a plus
