Job Description

An Automotive Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. This involves a wide range of tasks, from routine maintenance like oil changes and tire rotations to complex engine repairs and electrical system troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Inspection: Thoroughly inspect vehicles to identify issues and potential problems.
• Diagnosis: Utilize diagnostic equipment to pinpoint specific mechanical and electrical problems.
• Repair and Maintenance: Perform a variety of repairs, including engine repair, brake replacement, transmission repair, and electrical system repair.
• Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repair needs and costs in a clear and concise manner.
• Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working order.
• Stay Updated: Stay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex issues and develop effective solutions.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
• Valid Driver's License: Required for test-driving vehicles.
• ASE Certification (Preferred): Automotive Service Excellence certification is highly valued.
