Job Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including diesel trucks and trailers.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as fluid changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments on both standard and diesel systems.
- Handle advanced repairs, including engine rebuilds, transmission servicing, and diesel system troubleshooting.
- Inspect, service, and repair trailer components, including suspension, electrical systems, and braking mechanisms.
- Install modifications and specialized equipment on vehicles and trailers, such as towing systems, lift gates, and auxiliary power units.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles and trailers.
- Repair and install electrical components, including wiring systems, lighting, and control modules for both trucks and trailers.
- Analyze diagnostic results and ensure repairs meet performance and safety standards.
- Keep informed about the latest developments in vehicle, trailer, and diesel technologies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain compliance with industry standards during repairs and servicing.
- Organize and maintain a clean, efficient workspace to support high-quality service.
Key Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with diesel engines and trailer systems is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for vehicles and trailers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, including trailer wiring, lighting, and braking circuits.
- Prior experience in automotive repair, diesel mechanics, or trailer maintenance is a significant advantage.
- ASE certification, especially in diesel or heavy-duty systems, is a valuable asset.
- Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate with colleagues and meet customer expectations.
- Capability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or technical certifications are a plus.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
