A Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong understanding of basic automotive maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oil Changes: Drain old oil, replace oil filters, and refill with the appropriate type and quantity of oil.
  • Tire Rotations: Rotate tires to ensure even wear and optimal performance.
  • Fluid Checks: Inspect and top off fluids like coolant, brake fluid, and power steering fluid.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct a visual inspection of the vehicle, identifying any potential issues.
  • Cleaning: Keep the shop and equipment clean and organized.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Mechanical Knowledge: Understanding of automotive systems and components.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient work.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Work Environment:

  • Shop Environment: Work is primarily performed in a garage or workshop.
  • Physical Demands: Requires standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Exposure to Hazards: Exposure to chemicals, noise, and potential injuries.

Salary info:

$16 - $23 / hr
