About Our District
The Madison Metropolitan School District is the second largest school district in Wisconsin. The district serves a beautifully diverse population of more than 25,000 students. Program Description:
Building Bridges is a voluntary 90 day crisis intervention program serving students in 4K – 8th grade. Building Bridges is a collaboration between Catholic Charities, Dane County Department of Human Services and several Dane County public school districts. This position is a hybrid of MMSD and Catholic Charities, thus requiring collaboration across two systems. There is a team of two assigned to each MMSD attendance area. Each team is composed of two Clinical Coordinators, one who is an employee of MMSD and one who is an employee of Catholic Charities. Additionally, MMSD has a district-wide bilingual team that is composed of two Catholic Charities Clinical Coordinators. Further information will be discussed in the interview process.
Purpose of Position:
Provide school-based crisis stabilization for students in grades 4K through 8th with immediate mental health needs and their families. Provide education/consultation to school staff regarding supporting students with immediate mental health needs.
