Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manages scheduling and payroll functions, hiring and other human resource and other administration functions of the department. 

· Responsible for tracking, administering, and compliance with MMT’s Preventative Maintenance Program

· Coordinates vehicle repair and logistics with crews and management; coordinates and approves parts and internal/external service orders.

· Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs vehicles and equipment.

· Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

· Prepares and maintains records and reports.

· Leads Fleet personnel in their duties

Physical Demands:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.

· The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.

· Noise level in the work environment can be loud.

· This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.

· The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Qualifications:

· 5 years technical experience

· Leadership Experience

· Valid driver’s license and good driving record

· Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress 

· Possess good verbal communication skills  .

· Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and equipment, fleet maintenance management systems, and telematics systems.

· Working competencies with MS Office programs.

· Prior ambulance or emergency vehicle and equipment knowledge and understanding of various state requirements

· ASE or manufacturer’s Certification preferred

· Proficiency in both light diesel and gas truck engines preferred.
