Essential Functions

1. Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles and equipment.
2. Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
3. Prepares and maintains records and reports.
4. May act as lead person in supervisor’s absence.
Work Environment
1.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.
2. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
3. Noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full time or part time employment depending on position available. Days and hours will vary. Some overtime as needed.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
1.Current & valid state driver’s license
2.Must pass company provided PCP physical capacity profile exam (post offer, pre-employment) & Drug Screen
3.Meet company policy MVR criteria

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
5 years’ diesel mechanic experience.
Competencies
1.Proficiency in both light diesel and gas truck engines.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Software
3.Knowledge of Fleet diagnostics
Physical Demands
1.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
2.This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
3.The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
4.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
