System Administrator

Experience in Emergency Medical Services is a plus but is not required. This position is open to remote work anywhere within the U.S. And some travel may be required.

Qualifications
System Administrator position Duties and responsibilities:
Technical Skills
- Network Management: Ensuring reliable and secure network connectivity for communication systems. Fortinet experience is a plus.
- Database Management: Basic SQL scripting and knowledge.
- Basic Programming: Sometimes using things like PowerShell or similar languages if needed to script tasks.
- Cybersecurity: Utilizing software and services to protect sensitive patient and operational data from cyber threats.
- System Integration: Integrating various software and hardware systems used in ambulance services.
- Disaster Recovery: Implementing and managing backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity.
Soft Skills
- Problem-Solving: Quickly diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Logical Thinking: Finding ways to allow multiple different systems to communicate with each other.
- Communication: Effectively communicating with medical staff, dispatchers, and other stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in system configurations and data management.
- Project Management: Overseeing IT projects, such as system upgrades or new software implementations.
Required Education and Experience
- Knowledge of Medical Software: Familiarity with Electronic Patient Care Records (EPCR) and other medical software.
- Compliance: Understanding and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.
- Computer Aided Dispatch Systems: Managing systems that support response and dispatch operations.
- Vehicle Telemetry: Monitoring and maintaining systems that track ambulance locations and statuses.
