At MMT, we don’t just build machines—we build possibilities. From custom tooling to material handling, and from automation systems to the little bolts that hold it all together, we’re driven by precision, performance, and people. Every detail counts—and that’s where you come in.
We’re on the hunt for a CAD Drafter who can translate technical dreams into dimensionally perfect realities. If you’re fluent in SolidWorks and think in GD&T, you might just be our next drafting dynamo.
What You’ll Do
- Turn engineering concepts into crisp 2D/3D drawings using SolidWorks (cue drafting montage).
- Be the guardian of the blueprint: update revisions, manage documentation, and ensure everything aligns with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and even our friendly folks in Sales & Customer Service.
- Manage engineering changes like a pro (PDM, ECRs, ECOs—we see you).
- Sync up CAD data with ERP systems to keep production humming.
- Participate in R&D and prototype development like the curious problem-solver you are.
- Help make drafting processes smoother, smarter, and more scalable.
What You Bring
- Associate degree in Design Drafting or Mechanical Technology (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of CAD drafting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- SolidWorks wizardry (required). PDM know-how (preferred).
- Understanding of ERP systems (bonus points for GP Dynamics, Oracle, or SAP).
- Strong grasp of GD&T and drawing standards.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask like a caffeinated octopus.
Preferred (a.k.a. Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience with CNC machining (ever heard the sweet hum of a mill?).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 standards.
- Some superhero-level skills in document control, design optimization, or template standardization.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Impact: Your drawings will become real, moving, money-making machines.
- Team Vibe: We’re responsive, accountable, and proactive—no silos or egos allowed.
- Growth: Mentorship, cross-training, and real advancement opportunities.
- Innovation: We love new ideas and better ways of doing things—bring your brilliance.
- Culture: We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Expect laughs with your layouts.
