MMTherapy is a Black-owned behavioral group practice specializing in treating Black and Brown individuals experiencing eating disorders, ABA, and trauma. Our mission is to destigmatize mental health while providing culturally competent and transformative care.
We are seeking a Clinical Social Worker (LICSW or LCSW) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving diverse populations, particularly Black and Brown communities, and is committed to providing exceptional, trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients experiencing mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions such as CBT, EMDR, DBT, and other therapeutic modalities.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with licensing and insurance requirements.
- We provide AI-assisted note-taking to help streamline documentation and reduce administrative burden.
- Participate in case consultations, supervision, and team meetings.
- Stay updated on best practices, treatment innovations, and culturally relevant approaches to mental health care.
- Collaborate with medical providers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Provide psychoeducation and advocacy for clients to enhance coping skills and resilience.
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed as an LICSW or LCSW in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maryland, Utah, Nevada, or California.
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience working with individuals, families, or groups.
- Experience with trauma-informed care, eating disorders, or culturally competent mental health services is preferred.
- Strong understanding of social determinants of health and systemic barriers impacting mental wellness.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and strong organizational skills.
- Passionate about working with marginalized communities and promoting mental health equity.
