What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architect / Designer II position at MMW Architects?
Position :
Researches, plans, designs and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes and building materials. Consults with client to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time. May act as a project manager on projects. Coordinates consultants. Develops expertise in building technology and provides leadership in some areas, develops areas of design excellence, provides mentorship in the office for areas of expertise across all facets of work. Starting to be Involved in marketing and job acquisition. Leadership in office roles (committees / other). Broad mentorship to younger staff, management of small teams towards production goals and design excellence. Leadership in Contract Administration in small projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Architecture degree minimum
- 6 years of work experience
- Licensed Architect preferred
- NCARB Registration preferred
