Key Responsibilities
As a Forestry Specialist Senior, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the State Land Management – Timber Program: Ensure effective implementation, adherence to law and policies, and meeting of targets and goals.
- Administering Budgets: Develop and manage budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness, compliance with allotments, and achievement of priorities.
- Developing Policies: Create and coordinate management of policies and plans for timber sales program in the Area to achieve annual and long-term goals.
- Coordinating Communication: Communicate information and education to the public and colleagues on new developments in methods and procedures.
- Implementing Field Assignments: Carry out field assignments under the lead of area program foresters.
- Completing Special Assignments: Participate in committees, boards, fire teams, task forces, and training teams to provide field input for policy development.
