We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Forestry Management Role at the MN DNR - Forestry. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the State Land Management – Timber Program in the Backus Forestry Area.
Key Requirements
This position requires:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Forest Science/Management (or a closely related field of academic study) from a university program accredited by the Society of American Foresters.
- Two years of intermediate professional forestry experience or three years of entry-level professional forestry experience.
You will also be responsible for:
- Motivating people and obtaining program commitment from area personnel.
- Assigning and monitoring the work of staff; resolving problems with loggers, clients, the public, and other employees.
- Negotiating, resolving issues, reading situations, and settling disputes equitably by finding common ground and cooperation.
