Position Overview
The Director of Finance and Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing the financial, human resources, and administrative functions of MN Pork. This role requires a strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial and human resource information.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Assist the CEO in preparing and managing annual budgets ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Monitor cash flow, track financial performance, and provide regular reports to the team and the board of directors.
- Track, compile, and submit employment taxes to state and federal agencies.
- Compile and send employee and contractor W2s and 1099s.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Manage audits and work closely with external auditors to ensure timely completion.
- Develop financial policies and procedures that promote transparency, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and account reconciliation.
- Lead the HR function, including recruitment and onboarding.
- Assist the CEO in performance management and retention strategies.
- Administer employee benefits programs, compensation structures, and payroll processes.
- Stay informed of trends and best practices in HR, ensuring the organization is up-to-date with employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide administrative support to the team and farmer leaders.
