What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplemental Assembler position at MNA-OH?
Basic Function: The Assembly Team Member is responsible for participating in the assembly of quality products with minimal cost for scrap and re-work and with minimal delay by the use of tools, inspection of product, knowledge of the product and processes, and sound judgment. Assembly Team Member is also responsible for carrying out their responsibilities while maintaining required safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties:
- Works as a Team Member in a joint effort to maintain safety, improve quality and productivity.
- Performs assigned job tasks at a level which will maintain an orderly flow of product throughout the manufacturing process.
- Each Assembly Team Member is required to have the ability to work every work station they have been trained on without safety and quality issues and have the ability to keep up with cycle time.
- Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Production Supervisor.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Production Supervisor.
Planned Working Schedule:
- All shifts report Monday through Saturday, adding Sundays as needed.
- Day shift runs from 6:00 am until 2:30 pm.
- Night Shift runs from 4:30 pm until 1:00 am.
Education / Skill / Experience Requirements:
High School graduate minimum or equivalent. Some college preferred, and at least 2 years experience in a manufacturing automotive environment. Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty (20) lbs and a max of (50) lbs. Must process knowledge and experience in the proper use of fastening hand tools such as torque wrenches, nut runners, etc. Ability to understand and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Automotive Quality Requirements. Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Above average mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
