SUMMARY
The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and enhancement of the company's website. This role ensures the website remains functional, user-friendly, and aligned with the organization's branding and strategic goals, while also managing and executing effective social media campaigns to engage our audience and promote our brand. This position requires having experience and knowledge in the green industry to align with our company’s mission and values.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Social Media Campaigns:
- Manage, develop, and implement social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Assist in the planning and execution of content strategies.
- Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across social media platforms.
- Maintain relationships with online users while cultivating leads and sales.
- Collaborate with departments to gather, create, and social media campaigns
- Ensure content is optimized for search engines (SEO) and user experience.
- Implement and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and up-to-date information on the website.
- Compile campaign results for management showing results (ROI).
- Work closely with members of management.
- Website Management:
- Manage the functionality, performance, and design of the website.
- Ensure content is current, accurate, and aligned with branding standards.
- Coordinate updates, troubleshoot issues, and implement changes as needed.
- Work closely with the IT department or web hosting provider to ensure uptime and address technical concerns.
- Handle day-to-day operations of the company website, including content updates, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Monitor website performance, uptime, and speed, taking proactive measures to address any issues or slowdowns.
- Communicate effectively with various departments to gather requirements and provide updates on website-related projects.
- Performance Tracking and Analytics:
- Analyze key metrics and tweak strategies as needed.
- Monitor web traffic using tools like Google Analytics.
- Create regular reports on website performance, user behavior, and conversion rates.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Propose and implement enhancements to the website's design, functionality, and user experience based on industry trends and user feedback.
- Participate in regular website audits to identify and address issues related to performance, security, and functionality.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & TRAINING
Education and Experience
- High School diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree in web development, Information Technology, Digital Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 3 or more years of green industry experience required.
- 3 or more years of experience in website management, including content updates, user experience optimization, and performance monitoring required.
Skills and Training
- Proficiency in Office 365 (O365), web content management systems (CMS), and understanding of SEO best practices
- Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and ability to interpret data to drive improvements.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with a focus on delivering a seamless user experience.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel by vehicle to various branch locations.
- Must have the stamina to work until the job is done right.
