About the role: The Press Operator works directly with all members of the manufacturing team and specifically within a team of 15 others on site at Utica Washers in Detroit. The expectation is for the Press Operator to Load/Unload coil fed presses ranging from 150 to 300 tons and operate all equipment associated with parts tumbling lines. The position also requires the Press Operator to perform all required material handling, including forklift operation.
Responsibilities:
Safely and effectively perform the set-up and change-over of all Minster stamping press
lines including coil reels, coil straighteners, coil feeders, and stamping presses
Loading of coils onto coil onto coil reels using cranes and hoists
Stamp parts while following die set-up instructions
Effectively monitor operation of all equipment and part quality
Accurate completion of all in-progress tags associated with part production
Completion of all manufacturing required paperwork and computer logs
Monitor of press production of quality assurance of products

Experience with Minster Presses is a plus.
Strong Mechanical Aptitude with experience using hand and power tools Possesses basic computer skills
