Job Title: Metal Stamping Tool and Die Engineer
Job Location: Ovidon - Howell, Michigan
Job Schedule: Salary exempt position 40 hours weekly with the occasional 45- 50 hours
required to meet company needs
About the role: The Stamping Tooling Engineer will design the tooling necessary to form materials by computer aided design. The successful candidate will make designs as precise as possible to ensure proper clearance and optimal part quality.
Responsibilities: The ability to design progression for new products
Troubleshoot all aspects of material flow and movement
The ability to maintain quality regulations and systems
Maintain tooling improvement program
Analyze machining problems; determine corrective actions
Participate in continuous improvement activities

Additional skills and/or experience required for success in the role:
10 years of experience in the stamping industry
Proficient in completing and processing records and other documents
Hands-on leadership style
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
Outstanding communication skills, verbal, and written
Understanding of engineering disciplines
Great people skills: ability to influence and train others
Understanding stamping quality and other quality requirements
Able to design stamping dies using AutoCad/Mechanical Desktop
AutoCAD Certification preferred
