Job Title: Network Administrator
Job Location: MNP Headquarters, Utica, Michigan
Job Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

About the role: The Network Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of network systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation with the infrastructure. This individual ensures that network system hardware, operating systems, and related procedures adhere to company values, policies and security protocols.
Responsibilities: Examine and optimize existing network infrastructure
Plan for improvements & growth of the network
Develop and implement VLAN configuration where necessary
Recommend and configure network and server hardware
Administer Watchguard firewall and VPN tunnels
Assist with virtualization clusters (Hyper-V)
Lead any networking projects
Perform high level (L2/L3) helpdesk duties
Participate in on call afternoon support rotation
Support production infrastructure as needed
Provide afterhours/production support for emergencies or scheduled
Maintenance which cannot occur during business hours
Mentor team members, sharing expertise, and offering insights to optimize task
completion
Maintain a constructive and optimistic approach, fostering a culture that promotes teamwork and generates comprehensive solutions
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between development and
Infrastructure teams, improving workflows and resolving conflicts to ensure
project success

Additional skills and/or experience required for success in the role:
1 - 3 years of hands-on experience in network administration
Bachelor's degree in CS, CIS, MIS, or related field
Network administration/design, including experience with the following:
- Cisco & Extreme hardware
- SD-WAN
- Wired & wireless installations & support
- Monitoring & maintenance of networks
Security Administration, including the following:
- Firewall
- Web security gateways
- EDR/MDR
- VPNs & VLANS
Experience hardening either operating systems, networks, or applications:
- Familiarity with Windows domains - AD, DNS, and DHCP
Experience in the following is not necessarily but preferred:
Relevant networking certifications
0365/M365 administration
Documentation/Process Management skills
Experience with network/system monitoring or SEIM technologies
Knowledge of scripting

Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
