Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud and DevOps Architect (Azure) to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure services, Azure Data Expertise in Azure Data Services ( Azure data factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Data Lakes), DevOps tools, and infrastructure automation, with a strong focus on best practices in security, disaster recovery, and high availability.
Must-Have Skills:
Azure Expertise:
Microsoft Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Security)
Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Data Lakes)
Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, SQL Server, Blob/Table Storage, DNS, Active Directory
DevOps & CI/CD:
Azure DevOps or Jenkins for building and managing CI/CD pipelines
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Ansible
Managing version control using GitHub
Debugging application build, deployment, and connectivity issues
Infrastructure & Security:
High availability (clustering, load balancing, failover strategies)
Security & governance principles within Azure
Disaster recovery strategies
Experience & Background:
10 years of experience, with 5 years of US-based professional experience
Engineering background (not an admin background)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Azure Certifications
Familiarity with Azure Key Vault (secrets & certificate management)
Disaster Recovery Planning & Implementation
Strong Communication & Collaboration Skills
Bachelor s Degree
Local to Houston (preferred) OR willing to relocate
