(MNS) is a fast growing, profitable, multi-service infrastructure consulting firm offering planning, construction management, civil engineering, and surveying services throughout California. With nine (9) offices throughout California, the Company has provided services to the transportation, water resources, government services, and federal markets for nearly 60 years. MNS is hiring a Traffic Intern to perform elementary engineering assignments in support of the Transportation and Traffic design groups in their service to government agencies, districts, consultants and sometimes the general public. This is accomplished under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Acquires limited knowledge and develops basic skills in civil engineering practices
- Applies prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks
- Performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience
- Exercises limited judgment on details of work and in applications of standard methods for conventional work
- Collects data and gathers information or documents
- Performs standard computations or analysis
- Assist in preparation and/or review of engineering plans and designs within focus area, utilizing appropriate engineering equipment, tools and computer applications
- Create, read, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Relate abstract ideas to actual needs and adopt an effective course of actions
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Other duties as assigned
- Engineering degree completed or in progress, or equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of CADD methods and engineering drafting
- Valid California driver's license is required
