Job Duties :
- Assisting Surveyors : Work under the supervision of an experienced surveyor to conduct land surveys and related fieldwork.
- Operating Equipment : Learn to operate and use surveying instruments such as GPS systems, total stations, levels, and data collectors.
- Data Collection : Help with gathering and recording measurements and other relevant data to determine property boundaries, topographic data, and layout for construction projects.
- Calculations and Measurements : Learn and apply mathematical calculations related to land measurements, distances, angles, and elevations.
- Job Site Preparation : Assist with setting up and taking down equipment, preparing the site for surveying work, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Calculations and Mapping : Support in performing basic surveying calculations and creating or updating maps, charts, and reports based on the collected data.
- Fieldwork : Work outdoors on a variety of job sites, (horizontal / vertical) which may include construction sites rough terrains, highways, urban areas, or remote locations.
- Technical Training and Education : Engage in training, coursework, and on-the-job learning to develop skills and prepare for advancement in the surveying profession.
