This position is working in the Devops team supporting the MNTN Platform and Engineers. The right person will not only have a deep knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), but also experience with System Administration. Must have extensive experience with Finops, being able to demonstrate spend management in a growth environment, with the ability to identify and monitor complex infrastructure costs. The right candidate will have an “automate first” mindset with a proven track record of IaC. You will be working closely with our Engineering team and helping meet infrastructure and CI/CD requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Mentor and lead a team of DevOps engineers
- Manage and monitor the spend for large scale cloud infrastructure.
- Make recommendations for cost savings and working with engineers to quickly address any spend anomalies.
- Lead the team that manages and maintains our EKS clusters, EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and other AWS resources.
- Lead the team that uses Terraform for provisioning cloud infrastructure.
- Work with other team members in engineering to design and implement infrastructure to address new initiatives.
- Design and work with modern CI/CD solutions.
- Leverage your deep system administration experience to identify and improve cloud infrastructure.
What You'll Bring:
- 5 years managing technical staff
- 5 years Finops and budgeting experience
- 5 years Kubernetes experience
- 5 years Terraform experience
- 5 years of experience with CI/CD tools
- 5 years of experience maintaining high availability distributed technologies, such as Kafka
- Proficient with Python and Bash scripting
- System Administration experience in a non-cloud environment
- Experience with Anisble and other automation tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with multiple cloud providers a big plus (GCP, Azure)
- Experience with cloud migrations (e.g., AWS -> GCP) a big plus
