POSITION SUMMARY:
The incumbent is responsible for the daily production activities, including the efficient and timely manufacturing of production batches. They report to a shift supervisor and production manager. In addition, they substitute for the shift supervisor if designated by the production manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Moving valves and operating pumps and mixers. Raw material handling using a forklift, fixed piping, flexible hoses, and lifting by hand. Must be able to lift approximately 50lb drums and bags. May be exposed to a hot production environment, especially during the summer.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
A manufacturing and warehousing facility for food-grade products. The company operates under a HACCP plan and GMPs.

By reporting to Production Manager or Shift Supervisor: Member of Facilities and Equipment Group, Materials Group, and Production Group
BACKUP FOR:
Shift Supervisor if designated by Production Manager. BACKED UP BY:

HOURS: 40 hours, Full-time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- •Manufacturing batches of intermediates and finished goods, including loading and unloading of production vessels. Maintaining production records.
- •Receiving raw materials and shipping finished goods
- •Complying with production batch sheets, SOPs, GMPs, and safety programs
- •Monitoring Filter CCP
- •Performing preventative maintenance tasks as directed
- •Maintaining a safety focus at all times
- •Performing HACCP and Food Defense tasks as directed
- •Communication with Shift Supervisor, Production Manager or Materials Coordinator on production issues
- •Reporting any food safety and quality problems to Food Safety Manager and Site Manager to initiate action
- •Other duties as may be assigned
REQUIRED WORKSKILLS:
- •Strong interpersonal skills
- •Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
One or more years of experience in a batch manufacturing company
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- •Good forklift driving experience
- •Math and reading skills
