The MHWE portfolio is divided between Lifestyle Brands (Minuty, Château d’Esclans, Château Galoupet, Cloudy Bay, and Terrazas de los Andes) and Fine Wines (Joseph Phelps, Ao Yun, and Bodega Numanthia). Fine Wines demonstrate the ability to age and appreciate in value over time. They are recognised through reviews and commentaries by recognized wine critics, and their route to consumer goes through a very selective distribution.
Role Summary
The Global Fine Wine Business Development Director’s mission is to establish this new Business Model, supporting the strategies of our Fine Wine Maisons and engaging the Markets to successfully implement the key and specific Fine Wine strategies. In this role, they will act as the Commercial Lead of each Maison and as the expert of Fine Wine distribution, engaging, aligning, and directing their team in Markets for the implementation of our strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the Business Development and Ambassadorial representative for Wine Estates & its Fine Wine Brands.
- Formulate, propose, and track the respective Commercial Strategies to the Maison’s Leads and track performance / relevant KPIs.
- Manage precise targeted Distribution Allocations and maintain consistent Pricing.
- Oversee Vintage launch and Back Vintage management.
- Ensure Maisons are regularly updated about performance and Market / Channel insights to support alignment on key decisions.
- Lead / Coordinate Maison engagement in Markets, connections with key trade partners, and Fine Wine influential critics / consumers.
- Ensure Operational Efficiency (stock / allocation management) in partnering with Wine Estates and MH Supply Chain.
- Accountability for Budget completion.
- Lead Fine Wine Managers and guide market Fine Wine Champions.
ProfileEducation :
10 years demonstrable experience in a commercial role and profound knowledge of the Fine Wine Business.
Languages :
Fluent English and French essential.
