Job Description
Job Title : Medical Physicist
Job Specialty : Radiation Oncology
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : 8-hour days, Monday to Friday, no major holidays
Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week
Experience : Minimum of three years after residency completion; preference for candidates with more than five years, especially those experienced with Truebeam linear accelerator and CyberKnife
License : Certification by the American Board of Radiology for Therapeutic Physics is required within 90 days of hire
Certifications : American Board of Radiology for Therapeutic Physics
Must-Have :
- Master's degree in physics
- Solid foundation in physics at the graduate level
- Understanding of therapeutic medical physics in a hospital environment
- Ability to perform quality assurance and comprehend radiation oncology techniques
- Current knowledge of radiation safety and relevant regulations
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication
