Description

Your Future Role: The Greenhouse & Farm Inventory Specialist will oversee and report on plant and supplies inventories at our Minden Farm and Dayton Greenhouse in real time. This position is responsible for assisting the Grower and Head Grower with an efficient management and handling of the company's plant and supplies inventories to achieve the department goals and ensure the product is ready for Retail Sales.

Your Specific Job Responsibilities

• Upholds Moana Nursery's strict safety policies
• Shows up on time ready work
• Prints labels for different containers based on weekly planting plans provided by the growers.
• Completes inventory of the newly planted/sown material in all the greenhouses right after planting.
• Maintains an accurate inventory of all the plant material and update any changes into SBI software on a daily basis to ensure that no shipping shortages are created due to lack/loss of inventory.
• Produce weekly plant inventories reports and keep a real inventory in real time.
• Set inventory to READY/NOT READY status on the software when needed so the customers can order from on line.
• Print pick tickets of harvesting a day before of shipping to customers.
• Conduct a final inventory of the shipment prior to loading it onto the truck to expedite the unloading material at the stores.
• Communicate with customers to ensure they are aware of deliveries, variances and issues.
• Update and print invoices/acknowledgments for plant deliveries to customers.
• Conduct regular (weekly to monthly) inventories to give the grower real information needed for restocking production supplies.
• Works with Greenhouse Team to complete farm activities as needed when inventory responsibilities are complete.
  
  

Physical Requirements & Activity:

• Must be able to lift/push up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to stand and bend for periods of time
• Must be able to work inside under the environmental conditions of the greenhouses, especially during summer months
• Must be able to work at both our Minden & Dayton Farms throughout the week (a vehicle will be available to commute between the two locations)
  
  

Expertise & Experience Requirements:

• Valid Nevada driver's license with insurable driving record
• Microsoft Office Products
• Analytical thinking with strong mathematical skills
• Strong verbal and written communications
  
  

Nice To Have Skills or Experiences:

• Experience with SBI Grower Software
• Greenhouse Growing Experience
• Retail Garden Center Experience
  
  

Your Future Work Schedule:

During the spring and summer our Greenhouse is staffed 7 days per week with most activity taking place Monday - Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, and it may change depending on the time of the year . You typically will have a regular 40-hour workweek with consistent days, although it may be required to work overtime during busy periods, like spring season.
