The Information Security Specialist is responsible for monitoring and analyzing cybersecurity events and responding to potential cybersecurity incidents. The Information Security Specialist will assist the Director of Information Security and Systems Management in managing college-wide cybersecurity. This is a full-time, 12-month, hourly position with employee health and basic life insurance paid by the college. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
An Associate’s degree or a minimum of 2 years work experience in computer technology field is required. Must be detail orientated, have technical, and communication skills. Must have valid driver’s license and be able to handle equipment weighing 50 or more pounds.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
The Information Security Specialist shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees upon the recommendation of the President. The salary and terms of employment shall be fixed by the Board of Trustees upon the recommendation of the President. This position reports to the Director of Information Security and Systems Management.
