What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Manager position at Moberly Housing Authority?
This work is a combination of apartment management along with tenant relations. Tenant relation work involves direct contact with tenants to determine that tenants understand their responsibility to the Housing Authority and conversely to impart information and understanding pertaining to the Housing Authority’s responsibility to the tenant.
Duties include complete property management, not limited to: performing annual housekeeping inspections, monitoring property conditions, collect rents, annual income re-certifications, inform tenants of specialized services, coordinate pre and post occupancy counseling, responsible for execution of procedures, policies, laws, rules, regulations and ordinances that the Housing Authority is required to comply with, counsel “problem tenants” on matters of prompt rent payment and acceptable behavior, file and work with attorney on court action suits against tenants who are in flagrant violation of Lease terms, consulting with other professionals within the community for the benefit of tenants and the Authority, perform secretarial and clerical work as required, perform any other related work as required.
Skills needed include, but not limited to: Considerable knowledge with counseling and problem-solving techniques, working ability to deal effectively with tenants, ability to input data accurately, detailed documentation, ability to work with other departments and vendors for the authority’s benefit, accurately perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash with accuracy. MAJOR SKILLS required are: experience in dealing effectively with the public and a desire to serve others.
Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn specialized software, be highly motivated and able to work independently. Must be able to pass a background screening, have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a drug test.
